Worship/Music LeaderGod has given us a wonderful Worship Leader with a heart for people, and a love for the Lord, Brother David Allen leads our worship in a meaningful way.

PastorOur pastor, Ray White is a graduate of Wills Point High School, Wills Point, Texas, and married Jane Fugate, a graduate of Canton High School, Canton, Texas in 1965.  In 1969 they purchased a home in Canton where their son, Joel, and daughter, Amy, were born.

Brother Ray holds a Bachelor in Biblical Studies and a Master of Theology from Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary of Fort Worth, Texas.  Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from East Texas State University, Commerce, Texas.  Brother Ray was employed by the Dallas Fire Department from 1970-1982, and also was the owner of Free State Map Company in Canton.  Jane was a public school teacher in Mabank, Texas.

On May 24, 1981, he surrendered his life to the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.  A few months later God laid a burden on his heart for the Southwestern part of Colorado, more specifically the Dolores area.  In December of that year Brother Ray and family went to look at the field there.  In July, 1982, Brother Ray resigned the fire department, and closed his map company.  He and his family moved to Dolores to work for the Lord.  After working with two different churches, God closed the door and sent them back to Texas.  He pastored Parkview Baptist Church, Malakoff, Texas.  While pastoring Parkview, he furthered his education by attending the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas.  After approximately two years in Malakoff, Brother Ray felt God calling him back to the Dolores, Colorado area.  In June, 1984, he resigned as pastor of Parkview.  Jane, a public school teacher, also resigned her position.  He and his family moved there.  After much prayer God opened the door for a new church.  On September 2, 1984, Brother Ray led a small group to establish Mountain View Baptist Church as a mission from Valley Dale Baptist Church, Canton, Texas.  He remained as pastor until September 6th, 2000.  After a time of revitalization Brother Ray was called here to Union Baptist Church in February 2002.
